pp 221 A signed first edition of Aldiss's memoir with a most interesting inscription. He has written on the first blank: 'To dear Leon - who will observe I not only wrote the book: I also designed the cover, the emblem of which holds poignant significance for me (see p.206) Warmest regards Brian. Boars Hill. July '90'. The emblem is the Norfolk scene which appeared in the window of the flat over the H H Aldiss shop: 'For the first twelve years of my life I looked at that motif every day when I was at home.' It is reproduced on the dustjacket which is in fine condition, like the book itself.
