3 Edward Gordon Craig, The Art of the Theatre Together with an Introduction by Edward Gordon Craig and a Preface by R Graham Robertson, 1905, T N Foulis, Edinburgh and London, bound with the upper illustrated wrapper but without the lower wrapper; frontispiece and six plates showing Craig's stage designs. A fine copy.

4 G Bernard Shaw, W B Yeats, Lady Gregory, Jack B Yeats, etc, The Shanachie, An Irish Miscellany Illustrated, Maunsel and Co, I906, pp 74 A fine copy of the first volume of this periodical including the illustrated front wrapper but bound without the lower wrapper. Includes 6 plates with Jack B Yeats' The Travelling Man and W B Yeats essays ' Against Witchcraft and The Praise of Deidre.

The collection brings together two theatrical works with two works from the Celtic revival. Craig's Art of Theatre is a scarce and important work of theatre practice and theory, found here in the wrappered issue, most unusually in fine condition as is The Shanachie which also tends to be found in poor condition.
