The Last Lays of the Last of the Three Dibdins
[Frontispiece Portrait]  pp pp 158 The second edition of a collection of Thomas Dibdin's poetry with a verse squib in his hand tipped in. The half sheet of paper has been tipped onto the first blank and reads: 'Epitaph on an Accident/ Here I lays/ Run Over by a Chaise/ Dibdin', signed with a flourish. Opposite on the paste-down is the bookplate of Edwin Rimbault Dibdin, a descendant of the author, and his signature above, with the date Oct. 1890' and 'from Julian Marshall' in the same hand below, perhaps suggesting the gift of this volume. The book is bound in pebbled cloth with rubbing to the tips of the spine and the remnants of a printed paper label to the spine.
